COMNET Systems has been awarded Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS) & Fire Protection Systems (FPS) for the El Sands Residence. ​

EL Sands Residences Laoag is a condominium development located in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. Part of the government’s Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) program, offering affordable condo-type homes with government support. .​

FDAS, has four main functions: detecting fire through sensors like smoke detectors, alerting occupants and authorities via audible and visual alarms, monitoring the environment for abnormalities and system status, and controlling other connected systems, such as suppression systems or voice evacuation. These functions are performed by a network of devices, like sensors and control panels, to safeguard lives and property by providing early warning and enabling a fast response.​

FPS is a set of measures and equipment designed to detect, contain, or extinguish fires, minimize damage, and ensure safe evacuation. ​
