​COMNET Systems has been awarded Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) rehabilitation and upgrade project for Petron Corporation Ports of Manila Depot. ​

Petron Corporation is the largest oil refining and marketing company in the Philippines and a significant player in the Malaysian market. It operates the only remaining refinery in the Philippines, which has a refining capacity of 180,000 barrels per day.​

The project intend to enhance further the security of the of property, provide operation visibility, safety for the employees inside the refinery facility. ​

CCTV can be used to control, manage and monitor crowds. It can also help with safety and security within the crowd as it provides them with a sense of freedom from fear. CCTV is used to monitor and record crowds, especially those that are large and potentially dangerous. It can help identify those acting suspiciously so they can be apprehended before they cause harm to others. CCTV cameras are placed at strategic locations within a crowd, such as entrances and exits.​
